This week in 6th Grade World History
This week we will begin our study of Ancient Rome Lesson I (Chapter 8). Early Founding of Rome. We will learn about the geography of the Italian Peninsula, the legend of Romulus and Remus and other important concepts including the Monarchy and Republic periods of Roman History. You will see the connection and influence the Greeks had on Romans.

Chapter 18 Test this Friday, April 25th for 5A and 5B Sections
The 5th grade Sections 5A and 5B social studies test (Ch. 18 The Westward Movement) will be Friday, April 25st. This test will include all Lessons in the Chapter Lesson I: Rails Across the West, Lesson II: The Indian Wars, Lesson III: Settling the West.
Make sure you continue to take your textbooks home and prepare accordingly. Let the teacher know if you will be out of class this week and remember to make up any work that is needed. I am confident students will do well if you prepare properly and appropriately.
